Masterson’s Pub , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its doors was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms polluted the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of excrement , decay and a sickly smell. The toilet was in even a truly awful state— spilling over , with a snapped lever and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Many visitors have reported spotting critters darting across the counter and traces of mice in the bar and house area . As I dug deeper , I was alarmed to find numerous complaints against him involving predatory behavior , with multiple women citing incidents of sending indecent material .
